About our Men's Senior Team

Many programmes have the idea of setting up a Junior Team as a feeder to their Senior team.  The London Warriors turned this on its head – in our opinion every Junior Team should have a senior team to progress to.

In 2007, as many of the original players became too old to play, the London Cobras was formed as a senior team for those Junior players who were the programme’s initial focus.  Continuing the success of our first youth team, our senior team has also had a meteoric rise.  Starting in Division two in 2008 and winning the Division 2 national championship in that first year, earning promotion to Division 1.  The following year, that success was repeated by winning Division 1 and being promoted to the Premier Division.  Within a season, we had made our first appearance in a BritBowl national final in 2011, although it would be another two years before we would win our first national championship in 2013.  We have now won six national championships.

We also provide plenty of progression opportunities, with players representing GB, furthering their education through sport with scholarships to US Colleges and to some of the top UK British University teams.  Players have also been selected for the NFL's International Pathway Programme, and gone on to play professionally in Europe and the US - two players have gone on to play for NFL teams, and a former London Warrior Coach is the current Defensive Coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks.

Our provision includes access to:

  • One of the most experienced coaching staff in the UK

  • Training sessions and competition opportunities

  • Playing equipment and uniforms

  • Qualified medical staff and physiotherapists

  • Game film and Hudl

  • Online classroom sessions

Volunteer as a Coach or Support Staff

We are always looking for volunteer staff to join the warrior family.

  • We would love to hear from any experienced American Football coaches who may want to work with our men's senior team.  If you don't have experience, there are other ways to get involved in coaching with our other teams/

  • Don't fancy coaching but want to get involved on the sidelines?  We are always looking for Assistant Team Managers, as well as other support roles to help within the Club, like statisticians, video crew, photographers and even medical staff.
